We apologised to President Mahama for keeping him waiting at an airport for 22 hours - Adom-Otchere

Media personality Paul Adom Otchere has apologised to President John Dramani Mahama while discussing reports surrounding the President’s alleged 22-hour delay during an official visit to Japan and Singapore.

The trip was undertaken as part of Ghana’s efforts to strengthen diplomatic ties, attract investment, and expand cooperation with international partners in sectors such as trade, infrastructure, finance, and technology. The mission also sought to promote business opportunities for Ghanaian entrepreneurs and investors.

During an edition of Good Evening Ghana, Adom Otchere attributed the extended layover in Dubai to the lack of a direct commercial flight between Accra and Japan.

He further suggested that President Mahama opted against using a private charter aircraft because of political criticism previously expressed by members of his own party regarding the use of private jets by former President Nana Akufo-Addo.

According to the broadcaster, senior National Democratic Congress (NDC) officials, including Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, had in the past questioned the previous administration’s travel arrangements, making it politically difficult for the current government to adopt a different approach.

Adom Otchere maintained that these earlier political positions may have contributed to the inconvenience experienced during the President’s journey.

He concluded by calling on politicians to demonstrate greater consistency in their public positions and to prioritise the country’s interests over partisan political arguments.

Social Media Will Never Overtake Traditional Media–Tommy Annan Forson

Veteran Ghanaian broadcaster Tommy Annan Forson has sparked a fresh conversation about the future of journalism after declaring that social media will never replace traditional media, despite the rapid growth and influence of digital platforms.

According to the respected media personality, radio, television, and print media continue to hold a unique position in society because of their credibility, reach, and ability to shape national conversations.

He argued that while social media has transformed how people consume and share information, traditional media remains the most powerful and trusted source of news.

Tommy Annan Forson, who has decades of experience in Ghana’s broadcasting industry, explained that traditional media outlets have built strong systems of verification and professional standards that distinguish them from the often-unregulated nature of online platforms.

He noted that social media has created opportunities for citizens to participate in discussions and share updates instantly, but it cannot fully replace the role played by professional journalists and established media houses.

“Social media has changed the communication landscape, but it does not have the same authority and structure as traditional media,” the veteran broadcaster emphasized.

He maintained that radio, in particular, continues to be a dominant force in Ghana because of its accessibility, especially among communities where internet access may be limited.

His comments come at a time when digital platforms such as TikTok, Facebook, X, and YouTube have become increasingly influential in news distribution and public debate. Many young people now rely heavily on social media for updates, entertainment, and commentary.

However, Tommy Annan Forson believes traditional media will continue to thrive because of its professionalism, accountability, and ability to provide in-depth analysis beyond short online trends.

The veteran broadcaster’s remarks have reignited discussions about the evolving relationship between traditional journalism and new media, with many agreeing that both platforms now play important but different roles in shaping public opinion.

He Came in a Bentley and He Is Leaving in a G-Wagon – Friend Remarks About Gifted Obinim Junior

Gifted Obinim Junior, the son of founder and leader of the International God's Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, has attracted attention after arriving at an event in a Bentley and later leaving in a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon.

The moment was captured on video, where one of Gifted Obinim Junior's friends commented on the change of vehicles as they prepared to leave the venue.

Reacting to the scene, the friend remarked:

“He came in a Bentley and he is leaving in a G-Wagon.”

The statement highlighted the luxury vehicles associated with Gifted Obinim Junior and quickly became one of the notable moments from the gathering.

According to the video, Gifted had arrived at the location in a Bentley owned by his father, Bishop Daniel Obinim, before later departing in his own Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon.

The sight of the two luxury vehicles together drew attention from those present, with many observing the transition from one high-end vehicle to another.

Gifted Obinim Junior has occasionally appeared in public alongside his father and is known to enjoy a lifestyle that features luxury cars and other expensive possessions.

Bishop Daniel Obinim himself has often been seen with a collection of high-end vehicles and has, on several occasions, spoken publicly about his success and achievements.

The latest moment involving Gifted Obinim Junior has once again highlighted the family's association with luxury automobiles.

Luxury vehicles such as the Bentley and the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon are regarded as premium automobiles, known for their advanced engineering, comfort and high market value.

The video has attracted attention because of the friend's humorous observation, which summed up the scene in a few words.

For many people who watched the clip, the remark reflected the impressive display of luxury vehicles rather than any serious commentary.

Gifted Obinim Junior appeared relaxed throughout the interaction as he prepared to leave in the G-Wagon after arriving earlier in the Bentley.

The brief exchange has since become one of the talking points from the gathering, with the friend's statement drawing particular attention.

As the video continues to circulate, it serves as another example of how simple remarks made during everyday moments can capture public interest.

Meanwhile, Gifted Obinim Junior continues to make occasional public appearances alongside his family, with his latest outing once again placing him in the spotlight due to the luxury vehicles featured during the event.

Your Husband Loved You Before You Specked Your Body’ – Agradaa Fires at Florence Obinim

Controversial Ghanaian evangelist Patricia Asiedua Asiamah (Agradaa), popularly known as Agradaa, has once again stirred public debate with a bold statement directed at Florence Obinim.

The General Overseer of Heaven’s Way Chapel International did not hold back as she criticized what she described as changing personal standards after marriage.

In a viral video circulating across social media platforms, Agradaa is heard saying, “Your husband loved you before you specked your body,” a comment many interpret as a jab at physical transformation and lifestyle changes after marriage. The remark has since sparked mixed reactions among fans, critics, and observers within Ghana’s religious and entertainment circles.

While some supporters of Agradaa argue that her statement highlights the importance of authenticity and staying true to one’s natural self, others believe the comment was unnecessary and intrusive.

Florence Obinim, a well-known gospel singer and wife of Bishop Daniel Obinim, has yet to publicly respond to the claims, leaving room for speculation and further public discussion.

This is not the first time Agradaa has made headlines for outspoken remarks. Since transitioning from a traditional priestess to a Christian evangelist, she has consistently remained in the spotlight for her fiery sermons and controversial opinions.

The unfolding situation has reignited conversations about body image, personal choice, and societal expectations—especially for women in the public eye.

As debates continue to trend online, many are watching closely to see whether Florence Obinim will address the issue or let the controversy fade on its own.

One thing is certain: Agradaa’s words have once again proven her ability to command attention and spark nationwide conversation.

Opambour Invokes Curses Over Alleged Diss Track

The ongoing feud between Prophet Ebenezer Adarkwa Yiadom, popularly known as Opambour, and Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah has taken another dramatic turn, with Opambour publicly invoking curses over an alleged diss song directed at him.

Speaking during a televised address, Opambour accused those behind the song of mocking him for carrying out the work of God. He claimed the song was intended to ridicule his ministry and vowed that everyone associated with it would face the consequences.

"You are mocking someone who is doing the work of God with a diss song. I curse anyone who sings that song, dances to it, or engages with it in any way. I also curse Kwadwo Nkansah LilWin and everyone involved in its creation."

The preacher further declared that none of those connected to the production of the song would prosper, adding that the curse would continue to grow over time.

Actor Kwadwo Nkansah LilWin was specifically mentioned by Opambour as one of the individuals he believes was involved in the song.

The diss track is widely believed to target Opambour while praising Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah. According to its lyrics, Adom Kyei-Duah's ministry has exposed individuals it describes as false prophets and helped many Christians leave such churches.

The song also claims that Opambour's congregation has reduced in size, mocking him by suggesting he no longer has the financial means to maintain his lifestyle, including his well-known collection of suits.

Opambour also maintained that he would continue to invoke curses against anyone who publicly insults him or labels him a witch, regardless of whether the person is a pastor or a member of the public.
